I was born and raised in Dortmund, Germany.
After completing my first master's degree in German, Mathematics and Sports, at the Dortmund University, and a following 4-year theater education program in the Arturo Drama School in Cologne, I started working as a teacher for theater and German as a foreign language, at the Goethe Institute and as an educational counselor for several institutes around the world. In 2018, with the completion of my 2nd master’s degree, I was sent by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to take a lecturing position at the Language Center and at the German Department of the Hebrew University.
It’s always exciting for me to see how two of my biggest passions - theater and education, merge together. Both fields demand a performance in the sense of (en)acting and being engaged in a process, leading to the production of a meaningful outcome.
Another major part of my pedagogic method is the use of digital media and innovative teaching techniques, such as a collaborative classroom, online tools, and blended learning.
In my courses, the students are in the center of the learning process, while my part is more of a facilitator than of a teacher in its classic definition.
