Modern Hebrew - Level E

This course is for

Adult students of all ages (18 and above), who are able to conduct a conversation in Hebrew on different topics, read Hebrew texts such as newspaper articles and express themselves in Hebrew writing.

Duration

One academic year.

Course structure and goals

The course presents newspaper clippings and articles that have appeared in the Israeli media over the previous week. The selected pieces are designed to help explore some of the major issues and social problems facing Israeli society. Each topic is followed by a live discussion in Hebrew.
The class meets once a week, students must complete homework assignments sent by the teacher to facilitate work on their writing skills.

At the end of the course the student will

	enrich their vocabulary on diverse issues.
	know how to best express themselves in spoken and conversational Hebrew.
	be familiar with media-related terms and Hebrew phrases used in Israeli journalism.
	be able to read Hebrew newspaper all on their own.
	be able to surf Hebrew sites on the internet, which deal with current affairs.
